UPDATE FROM MARIA!!

I am thrilled to be writing this update from my home in Union, KY.

I have been home for several weeks, and attained my long term goal of attending Lindsie's College Graduation from Valparaiso University on May 15th. I am feeling good and adjusting daily to the physical, mental, and emotional struggles of being a cancer survivor.

I plan to return to work mid-June and will have to return to St. Louis every 3 months for now for routine check-ups. My first one being July 18th. I appreciate your continued interest, prayers, and support.

I also ask that you include my sister Elisa (the creator of this wonderful website) in your prayers as well. We almost lost her a couple of weeks ago when she had a seizure due to low sodium levels and had to be airlifted from our hospital in Belleville to Barnes in St. Louis where she was in ICU on a ventilator and almost died. She is currently at home doing much better and is really a walking miracle!!

Thank you for continuing to walk this journey with me. I am realizing that the best any of us can do is play out the hand we are dealt and that there are no guarantees in life for any of us...so enjoy each and everyday!!
